Graduates change their lives through meaningful careers

In less than two years, we’ve helped launch over 70 careers in healthcare in the Seattle area. Though our training program, graduates gain skills to not only get the job, but advance in a career. CareerWork$ Medical offers a pathway to stable incomes and benefits. Our graduates are excited to continue growing in their careers. Read their stories below.

CareerWork$ Medical Graduate, Patient Services Representative II at Virginia Mason

“The most rewarding thing for me was landing a job that I love to do.”

Jacqui was determined to start a career. After completing our eight-week training, Jacqui was immediately hired as a Patient Service Representative I at Virginia Mason and quickly moved up to Patient Service Representative II. As part of her role, Jacqui in responsible for registering patients, communicating financial policies, ensuring proper referrals and authorizations are in place, and training new staff. She aspires to a be a social worker to connect people experiencing homelessness to providers and care.

Caitlin

CareerWork$ Medical Graduate, Client Services Representative at Virginia Mason

Caitlin had only worked in food service. For years, she dreamed of a career in healthcare but was unsure of how to make that vision a reality. Through CareerWork$ Medical she learned how to write a resume, communicate transferable skills, prepare for an interview, and gain the industry knowledge to excel in a non-clinical role. Following graduation, Caitlin was hired as a Client Services Representative at Virginia Mason. She is self-sufficient and after a several months in her new role bought a new car and moved into an apartment on her own.
